Complete Guide and Tips to MuleSoft Certified Developer Certification

Here are the preparation tips for MuleSoft Certified Developer - Level 1 (Mule 4). I have given a few important steps that need to be followed while preparing for MuleSoft Certified Developer - Level 1 (Mule 4).

1. Register and learn from Training modules - (Priority: High)

Register at https://training.mulesoft.com/. Complete all the 12- 13 modules from MuleSoft.U Development Fundamentals (Mule 4). If you are stuck on any topic reach out to community forums for any clarifications.

2. Complete walkthrough exercises - (Priority: High)

The walkthrough exercises will guide you on how to develop applications with clear steps that need to be followed. Most of the questions will be from the walkthroughs. So, a self-implementation of all the walkthroughs will help in answering the questions with a lot of ease.

3. Practice all Do it Yourself (DIY) Exercises - (Priority: Medium)

The DIY exercises are like use case requirements which will be explained clearly on what to develop. Based on the instructions, develop and deploy the APIs.

4. Give an attempt to Mule Self Assessment Quiz - (Priority: High)

After completing all the modules, Try to give the Self Assessment Quiz to understand your strengths and weakness. This assessment gives topic-wise score results to help you understand your improvement areas.

5. Documentation - (Priority: Medium)

Read all the topics from MuleSoft Official documentation. This helps to go deeper and learn more about that particular topic. This also helps with learning other topics.

Important topics to prepare for MuleSoft Certified Developer Certification - Level 1 (Mule 4)

  • Understanding the scope of variables, attributes (query params, URI params), etc in different flows (Flows, Subflow, Private flow)

  • Understanding How the Batch Job works, Scope of variables in the Batch job

  • Understanding How Error handling works in Mule 4

  • What are the differences observed in Mule 3 and Mule 4?
